A week where 5,600-year-old temples become the starting point for problem-based learning. STEAM as it was always meant to be — curious, cross-disciplinary and rooted in real questions.
What this week is really about
Long before formal science, the people who built Ġgantija were already engineering, observing the sky, working with materials and telling stories. This programme uses Gozo's Neolithic heritage as a live case study to design STEAM units your students will actually remember.
You'll move between hands-on workshops, site visits and design-thinking sessions. By the end of the week, each participant leaves with a ready-to-teach problem-based project connecting science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics to a real cultural or environmental question.
The Gozo connection
Ġgantija, the salt pans of Xwejni, traditional boatbuilding, the geology of the cliffs — Gozo is a working laboratory for STEAM. We use it.
