The Art of Balance
Teacher Wellbeing & Resilience
"From pressure to presence. From burnout to balance."
A restorative Erasmus+ week for educators who give a lot and rarely stop. On Gozo, teachers rediscover their own rhythm — and take home practical tools to sustain it.
What this week is really about
Teaching today asks a lot: emotional labour, constant change, mixed-ability classrooms and a workload that rarely lets up. The Art of Balance is a full week designed to help educators recover, reset and build long-term resilience — professionally and personally.
The programme blends mindfulness, positive psychology, breath and body-based practices with concrete school-ready strategies for stress management, boundaries and emotional regulation. Mornings focus on skills; afternoons take learning into the landscape of Gozo — walks along the cliffs, quiet time by the sea, and shared reflection with an international cohort.
The Gozo connection
Gozo is naturally slow. Small villages, wide horizons, warm light. The island itself becomes a co-teacher of pace, presence and recovery — an environment your body responds to before your mind catches up.
